Local and international postgraduate scholarship applications are highly competitive, and the candidate must be truly competitive in a wide range of different ways to be successful. This course uncovers the strategies for making strong and truly competitive postgraduate scholarship applications, both internationally and locally that have been used by our previous clients, with remarkable success. The course is based on Dr Andrew Terhemen Tyowua’s 10+ years of mentoring and supporting candidates secure these scholarships. The course is divided into two parts. The first is an overview of scholarship applications, covering the Bloom’s taxonomy and expectations after bachelor’s degree, components of a scholarship application package, building a strong portfolio, how a scholarship application package is reviewed, strategies for selecting referees, the role of CV, personal statement, statement of purpose (SoP) as well as research proposal in a scholarship application package and how to use AI in scholarship applications. The second focuses on hands-on strategies for preparing a strong and competitive CV, personal statement, SoP and research proposal for scholarship applications using examples from successful scholarship application packages of our previous clients. Consequently, completing this course and following the strategies discussed will considerably increase the candidate’s chances of success with postgraduate scholarship applications, both locally and internationally.
